Hayley and Joseph are married!!! {Downtown Jacksonville Wedding}

Hayley and Joseph have been the most laid back couple.  To tell you the truth, I don’t even think I heard from Hayley at all.  Joseph set up all our meetings, shoots, wedding day details, etc.  It’s rare I hear from the groom once much less the entire planning process!  Way to go, Joseph!!!

Hayley and Joesph chose one of the most gorgeous downtown churches for their ceremony venue.  Their ceremony was FULL of laughs and sweetness.  Once the ceremony was over, we traveled over to River City Brewing company for their reception.  We were able to get some really cute shots out by friendship fountain before we started the reception.  Their reception started off with their sweet dances, some tears of course, and then ended up with some serious dancing (which was highly entertaining! haha)

Hayley and Joseph, thank you so much for having us a part of your wedding day.  It was so nice to see you enjoy the day and enjoy all of your friends and family who made the day so perfect.  You two are a beautiful couple, and it has been such a pleasure getting to know you better. =)

xoxo

Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet? We first met at the University of North Florida during a Health Law class. Our first date was on January 24, 2009 and we’ve been together ever since.

How did he propose? We had our first trip to the Jacksonville Zoo together. It was a little rainy so we had the place mostly to ourselves. We ended up completely alone in the Asian exhibit (ironic I know). Joe gave me his phone to do a jigsaw puzzle. Little did I know it was a picture of the ring. Of course, he made it ridiculously easy and short, but it gave him enough time to get down on one knee and surprise me.

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake? We wanted to pick a color that would work well for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen and eventually settled on lapis (dark purple). We decided on flowers by meeting with the helpful people at Flowerama to decide which blooms would hold up the best. Cake testing was by far one of my favorite parts…we ate a bunch of cake and went with classic vanilla with different flavors for the different layers.

After the Wedding …

Where did you go for your honeymoon? Rome for three nights and then a cruise to Sicily, Athens, Turkey, and Crete.

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be? Listen when everyone tells you that the day goes by so quickly!
