Adrienne is one of my funniest clients EVER. It’s hard to get her to be serious for 5 minutes to take photos! Jimmy is a perfect match, and together they are just adorable. Some of my favorite ceremonies are those that include a child and a spouse taking vows to them as well. There definitely was not a dry eye during the ceremony. Fast forward to the reception…OH the fun that was had. Let’s just say what happens at reception STAYS at receptions. =)
Thanks you two for letting us be a part of your big day. It was AAAAmazing.
PS – Thanks to Steph and Rebecca for all your help!
Wedding Weekend Info (from Adrienne)
Hotel accommodations for guests: Renaissance
Rehearsal Dinner Location: Pusser’s
Ceremony Location: The Green at Nocatee Crosswater Hall
Reception Location: Nocatee Crosswater Hall
Caterer: Jen with Chef’s Garden. Our guests are still talking about the amazing food. It was so good and the servers were friendly and super-efficient. The bartender did pour heavy, but no complaints here because everyone had an amazing time!
Wedding Coordinator: Monica Bernhardt from To-Doers Event Planning. She is a close friend of Jimmy’s and has known him for years. She was amazing and kept my head in the game all day.
Photographer: Tonya Beaver – Thank GOD! This woman works wonders people. She can see things other photographers can’t and takes the time to get to know her clients. Her assistant photographers were riots too and so professional. I cannot begin to tell you how priceless Tonya and her team were on our big day! One of the assistant photographers even fixed the bouquets for me and the bridesmaids when there was babies breath in the arrangements that I just didn’t like.
Cake: Cinotti’s Bakery and also Sweet by Holly mini cupcakes (3 time winner of Cupcake Wars). Jimmy’s favorite cake is cheesecake, but that’s hard to do for a wedding. Cinotti’s makes a cake that tastes like strawberry cheesecake…it was EXCELLENT!
Florist: Bold Blooms in Green Cove Springs. The flowers were beautiful and the room was simply breathtaking once put together. I cannot thank Valerie enough for her beautiful arrangements.
Officiate: Pastor Bob with First Coast Ceremonies. Let me tell you, this man is amazing! He made us feel at ease and kept us on track with getting the ceremony just right and helping us every step of the way.
Hair: Siren Salon-Apryle Schmidt. This girl is AMAZING! She did wedding day hair for a friend of mine and I had to have her. My hair was stunning and she threw it together in what felt like minutes. LOVE HER!
Make-up: Clarissa Dutton from Salon Ellapar in Kingsland, Georgia. I have been going to Clarissa for years for haircuts and highlights, but she refuses to do wedding hair. She did my make up and was also a guest at the wedding. So worth the drive I make to get my hair done, and she drove in my direction for my make up. Love her!
Entertainment: Carlton – Owner of McGee Entertainment. Simple amazing! I paid extra to have him do my wedding and I cannot express what a fantastic decision that was. He kept the dance floor packed and even got on the dance floor with us a few times. So much fun!
Wedding Dress: Alfred Angelo – Although my dress was beautiful, I can say that I wish I had my alterations completed by someone else. They make you pay ahead of time and I paid for services that I didn’t end of getting done on the dress.
Wedding Shoes: Gianni Bini (of course)
Bridesmaids Dresses: David’s Bridal
Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Jos A Bank
Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet? Jimmy and I met 3 years ago through Match.com. Our first date was a Gator football game which was AMAZING. We split a 12 pack of beer, he bought me a pretzel and a then a soda. What a guy!
How did he propose? It was a Sunday and I had to leave for work. I took a shower and got dressed. When I walked into our room he asked me to pull out the rings I have that fit. I initially opened the wrong drawer but when I opened the right one, he was on one knee in front of me and asked me to make him the happiest man in the world and be his wife. I said yes, of course!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake? I have always liked pink, but didn’t want an over the top pink wedding. I also wanted my bridesmaids to be able to wear their dresses again and again. Choosing Black and Ivory with a splash of light pink was a great decision. Light Pink was the accent color and it was beautiful!
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use? I went through Vistaprint.com and made my own save the dates (magnets), invitations, response cards and thank you cards. I saved so much money by doing this myself and enjoyed the creative process.
After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon? We did a Royal Caribbean Cruise on the Oasis of the Seas to the Eastern Caribbean.
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be? Don’t forget to pack a toothbrush and try on those yoga pants the Maid of Honor bought you that say “Bride” in bling on the booty…they are see through!!! Other than that, it was an amazing day.
If I could give advice to any upcoming bride it would be…to make the decision I made when I woke up that wonderful day. That decision was “It’s your expensive day so you better enjoy it girl. Don’t sweat the small stuff because it is all small stuff in the great scheme of things. The money is gone, whoever comes will come, and no matter what, your prince and your son are at the end of the aisle…and at the end of the day nothing and no one else can take that away!”
And my husband and I did…we partied with our amazing friends and family and I have absolutely no regrets!
