Allysen and Harvey had such a beautiful wedding day! It was our first wedding at Sweetwater Inn and Gainesville, Florida, and it was one of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever shot. So much variety and options with what we could do. Allysen and Harvey (as well as their friends and family ) were so much fun to shoot!!! They were totally up for anything. The couple took their vows out in the backyard which was a total tearjerker!!! From there we took a few more pics then headed into a really fun reception…which was lots of laughs and even MORE tears.
Congrats you two. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day.
Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet?
Growing up in the same town with both of our parents owning businesses in Live Oak, we didn’t know who each other was. Harvey has a love for cars and used to take his Custom Neon SXT (he has since upgraded lately to a Neon SRT-4) to car shows throughout Florida. While I might not share the same interest in his type of cars, I have a special love for the Back To The Future ride, the Delorean. My parents bought one for my birthday and decided to put it into a few car shows. And the rest is history as you might say after one show we happened to be entered in at the same time.
How did he propose?
One quiet evening at his house shortly before my high school graduation in 2009.
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
I love black, always used to wear lots and lots of black. Figuring out with my mom and sister, we came up with red to go with the black. White was added to the color scheme once we purchased my wedding gown. We though the three would look awesome together. Red and Black being the main two colors with a small amount of white added. My mom thought roses, both red and white would look very elegant, roses became my flower of choice. As far as the cake, keeping simple elegance in mind, we kept the cake black and white with red roses, all edible..

Entertainment: Funny Story here! We had chosen a long time friend of my father’s from NY to fly in and do the wedding for us. Larry Mulligan of Much Music in Port Jervis, NY was all set to fly in on Sunday for the wedding and fly home on Monday to be home for Halloween with his kids.. We had everything set, we thought.. Until that freakish way out of the ordinary snow storm blanketed parts of the northeast making airline travel out of the queston…. So then the back up plan became THE plan. Jeff Boss who was loaning us the equipment for Larry to use became THE DJ.. He did an awesome job for what he had to deal with. We had to download all the music getting discs to him the morning of the wedding while trying to set everything up for the ceremony. It all worked out in the end, we were all very pleased with everyone coming together to make it happen the way we anticipated…

Where did you go for your honeymoon?
A week long stay at a cabin in Ft. Wilderness Resort in Walt Disney World with park hopper passes and even a golf cart to roam and check everything out.
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
None, the vision we all had planning everything came true and it couldn’t have been any more perfect for all of us.
