Amanda + Ryan Wedding Photos

Amanda and Ryan had a perfect wedding day. Generally speaking something always goes wrong with a wedding day. But not for them. It was gorgeous. At one point we did think it was going to STORM which could damper their beautiful outdoor reception, but it didn’t. All was well.

We started at Riverside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida where they were married. If you’ve never visited that church, I encourage you to do so. My second shooter for the day, Vince, arrived and said he had to just sit for a few minutes and take it all in. It’s pretty glorious.

We got some gorgeous photos of the girls inside the church before the ceremony. The light that comes through the windows is absolutely amazing. Amanda rocked it, and her girls were so super fun. We tucked them back away to chill before the ceremony. We grabbed the guys for some super fun photos as well. These guys were total jokesters (as usual), and made the picture part of the day a lot of fun.

Can I just say that the pastor of this ceremony was probably the NICEST pastor I’ve ever met in the wedding business? I always introduce myself and get the dos and don’ts before every wedding. Generally you hear a lot of DON’Ts. But he was very helpful in letting us find spots behind his place on stage so we could capture the extra tender moments of the couple as they said their vows to each other.

After photos we went to the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens for the outside reception. DJ Thundercat had the party starting right from the introductions. The food that the couple selected was super cool. It was totally different…like chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes with shrimp and grits. Chef’s Garden of Jacksonville did such a great job making the food and setup unique and perfect.

The party lasted late into the night with lots of dancing and fun. Vince, Dan, and I even got out and had some booty shaking fun as well.

Thanks to everyone who played a part in making their day special. It was such an honor to be a part of their wedding day.
