I met Ceci and Chris year before last when they booked me for their big day. Right away we all hit it off. Ceci and I quickly became friends, and there have been several times of knowing each other that we’ve leaned on each other for support. They are truly very special people as individuals and even stronger as now a married couple.
They had a GORGEOUS wedding in downtown Saint Augustine. The lightner has a beautiful courtyard which is perfect for wedding ceremonies. From there we just roamed around to take their formal shots which includes running out to the bay for some sunset/sailboat photos. Once back to their reception at Casa Monica, the party officially started and did not slow down until the exit. It was an awesome party! Great job Ceci with all the planning. You outdid yourself, and it was perfectly amazing.

Reception Location: The Casa Monica Hotel – Chris and I LOVE St Augustine! It is one of favorite places and I could not have imagined being married anywhere else. The Casa Monica did an outstanding job. I am so pleased with how everything went. It could not have been more perfect!
Caterer: The Casa Monica Hotel – It was very important to Chris and I to have amazing food at our reception and everything was DELICIOUS!!! Every guest raved about how amazing the food was and it was better than any wedding food they had before. It was incredible!
Wedding Coordinator: Lauren Cowgill with Windham Events – Absolutely love Lauren! I did not want to hire a day of planner at first but Tonya and I talked about it and I decided it would lower my stress level. Lauren made sure our day was absolutely perfect. If something went wrong, we had no idea because Lauren took care of everything. She made sure Chris and I had everything we needed at all times. If you need a day of planner, Lauren is the best choice!
Photographer: Only the best of course! Tonya Beaver Photography! Honestly, we are so lucky and blessed we hired Tonya. She worked so hard and hired amazing shooters to help her get everything that day. I cannot express how much I love Tonya. She was the only photographer we met with because we fell in love immediately and I am SO happy we had her on our wedding day!
Videographer: Brent Nicholaysen.com Videography Great value and great work! We had our wedding dvds in 2 weeks and he did a great job! We received 6 sets of dvds and we can burn those and make as many copies as we want! I think he did an amazing job and he was a great price as well! Definitely recommend him!
Cake: Kakes by Katie AMAZING! The cake looked incredible, it tasted incredible and her price was much less than other bakers. She captured exactly what we wanted and everyone loved the cake! We did not want fondant on our cake and I was worried it would not look as pretty. Katie used all butter cream icing and the cake was so beautiful! She is very talented and so great to work with!
Florist: Tammy Woodcock with ParkersEvents Tammy was wonderful. I changed my mind so many times and she never got annoyed with me. She captured exactly what I wanted and her prices are VERY affordable. She stayed within my budget and I absolutely loved all of the flowers. We also rented our chair covers from her and they were about half the price of what we had been quoted from the hotel.
Officiant: Rev. Bill Young – Rev Young is the officiant at The Lightner Museum and we had only met with him one time before and he did a great job. Our ceremony was filled with God and Love and it was perfect!
Hair: Michelle Faulkner with Image Artistic Salon– Michelle did a great job! Everyone’s hair looked beautiful! She was on time and she captured my vision! Chris loved my hair too! I would highly recommend her!
Make-up: Jill Stonier with Ruthless Beauty – Jill was awesome to work with! She was at the hotel early and really captured every girl’s beauty. All the girls looked so beautiful and I loved that at the end of night our makeup still looked like it did that morning. She was awesome!!!
Entertainment: Y! Entertainment (Dave Hanscom) – “Best wedding I’ve been to!” –is what our guests told us! Dave played a great array of dance music and all of our guests had a blast!
Party Favors: Smiley Booth Photobooth – Such a fun idea!!! All the guests loved the photo booth and I am so glad we chose this instead of other party favors that people would forget! I am so glad we had a photo booth at the reception!
Lighting: Light Up My Party! I am so glad we had Light Up My Party create such an amazing ambiance at the reception. It was so beautiful and made the room! I highly recommend them!
Paper: Pearl Beach Paperie- I loved working with Darcy! She captured my vision perfectly! The best part was that she came and met with me at my office and make everything very easy and stress free! Everything was absolutely beautiful! From the invitations to the reception décor, absolutely perfect!

After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon? My husband planned a whirlwind trip and it was all a surprise to me. It was really fun! We started in Las Vegas for 3 days then jetted over to NYC for two days. We packed in so much fun stuff in two days! It was awesome! Then we spent 5 days in Costa Rica! We stayed at the La Mariposa Hotel in Manuel Antonio and it was incredible! Costa Rica is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and I am so glad he planned this trip! I cannot wait to go back.
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
The best advice I could give is to plan your day the way you want it. Everyone will have an opinion and go with your vision. Also, do whatever you can to alleviate as much stress as possible. I feel that having a day of planner is a must. I had no stress the entire day. I did not worry about anything going wrong because I knew if something did that Lauren would fix it and no one would ever know. Having a stress free day and enjoying every moment is what your wedding day is all about. Our wedding day was the most perfect day. I did not want it to end! I feel that because we had such amazing vendors who really cared about us and our day being perfect everything was how I had imagined! You have 1 wedding day, make it exactly how you want! I promise you will not regret it!
