Danielle + Gerry Wedding Photos

I met Danielle and Gerry quite a while back, and we instantly clicked.  They were looking for someone to really capture the emotion of their day…and there day WAS emotional.  There were tears, there were laughs.  It was perfect. 

They have such a love for each other that is evident to the world.  They had a beautiful day at Hammock Dunes Club and Links Golf Course in Palm Coast, Florida.  The lawn makes for the perfect ceremony location, and the patio area for their reception was very intimate.  It was simply perfect. 

Congrats you two. 

Job well done on a beautiful wedding, and I wish many years in the future together.

About the Wedding Day….

Rehearsal Dinner Location: The Club at Hammock Beach on the Ocean View Gazebo

Ceremony Location: Hammock Dunes Club and Links Golf Course on the Grand Event Lawn

Reception: Hammock Dunes Club and Links Golf Course in the Courtyard

Caterer: Hammock Dunes Club and Links Golf Course

It was delicious meals for both the Rehearsal and Reception dinners. The food was well presented and had a unique flavor/spin to the standard wedding buffet foods.

Cake: Publix Super Market at Hammock Beach Centre

The wedding cake designer at Publix was wonderful, she is very talented, gives great ideas and made it very easy to work with her. Why go anywhere else? Our guests were shocked that our cake was from Publix

Florist: Village of the Greenery & Bad Alice’s Interior Floral Design

Village of the Greenery- Sunshine was great to work with and kept within our fresh flower budget.

Bad Alice’s Interior Floral Design- Erin and Steve did such a great job with the cherry blossoms and Ceremony flowers pots.  They put the touch on our wedding that was different and created the atmosphere that pulled everything together.

Officiant: Patti Miller

She is a very close friend to Gerry and me. A bonus that she does have a notary license. Our story was told during our ceremony of how we discovered Patti along with Mark (Patti’s husband of 30 years) have been obvious example to the two of us as we have shared a lot of time together.  As we were searching for an officiant both Gerry and I knew we wanted someone that we could share this very personal moment with that would be able to guide us well past the ceremony and be a vested partner in this marriage.

Hair: Kellie from Luxe Hair studios

She was wonderful as always, she is the only one I would trust with my hair.

Entertainment: The String Group

We hired the string trio and trumpet to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony was traditional wedding music and the cocktail hour, they really mixed it up and played some modern music such as ColdPlay, U2, Snow Patrol, etc. We requested a few songs for them to rehearse before the wedding day, but they already had a huge selections of songs pick from.

For the reception music– Jody’s husband, David was the DJ who also played the trumpet. This husband- wife team really made things easy to coordinate for the wedding. David is extremely professional, knows the wedding industry very well, and kept the music moving to what people wanted to dance and listen to.

This dual team, I highly recommend and it comes with discount.

Wedding dress:  Park Avenue Bridal          

My dress was a Maggie Sottero, purchased from Park Avenue. Dana was my consultant, stayed within my budget, had a ton of knowledge about material, bridal dresses, etc.  The contact between the shop and myself was a tad disappointing. They made it seam like they were doing me a favor. Minor contact issues, as we ordered my veil from there too, but they never called to let me know that the veil had arrived. Minor issues but overall working with Dana lead me to the dress.

Bridesmaid Dresses: Bella Bridesmaid in San Marco, FL

This shop is adorable and the owner, Ashley was absolutely a doll to work with. It’s the perfect shop to take your bridesmaids as it caterer only to Bridesmaids.

My step daughter who was apart of the ceremony, we ordered the exact material through Lulu Kate to match the MOH. We had a junior bridesmaid dress made by the seamstress.

Lynn Vincent – Seamstress handled all of the wedding parties alterations, sashes, etc.  She does great work and would recommend her to anyone. Make sure you book before the dresses arrive.  

Groom/Groomsmen Wear: Men’s Wearhouse

The look I wanted turned out nicely but the actual rentals for everyone was very disappointing. Gerry’s sleeves were too long and my step-son’s tux had a stain on it. They charged a late fee for my dad’s tux where entire group account was setup to returned on Monday but my dad’s was set up differently? The overall process with them was a disappointment.

After the Wedding…..

Honeymoon:

The best advice someone gave to us – don’t rush out of town right away, we stayed into town, visited with guests and family who were still in town.  It was great to hear their prospectives on the entire day.  We worked a few days in between, took care of items before leaving town, which left us only to relax and enjoy our honeymoon.

We spent 9 days in St. Martin partially in Grand Case on the French side and the majority of the time on the Dutch side in Simpson bay. Gerry did a great job of researching what to do, where to stay, what to eat, etc.

Advice:

The only advice that I would give to anyone one this day, is to really let go of the wedding planning, and enjoy the moment. I had to let go of the coordinating of the flowers, setup, etc to a close friend, and you see minor things that you would have done differently.

But truly it is about being in love and married to your partner. The bridal party had a beach yoga session on on the morning of the wedding. The best thing the yoga instruction said at the end of our practice, was to really enjoy and be present in each moment of the exciting day. That goes for leading up to the big day too. Each day is special and keep those moments by writing them down in a personal journal.
