Reception Location: TPC Clubhouse
Wedding Coordinator: Lauren White with First Coast Wedding and Events. Lauren was my day-of coordinator and she was great! We met about a month before to go over all the vendors and how the ceremony would proceed. She has such an easy personality to work with and she helped make sure everything went smoothly! Also, Molly Mieras at TPC is the Catering Manager and she was just wonderful to work with! She helped the day go so smoothly.
Photographer: Tonya Beaver of course! Tonya was recommended to me by a friend who was a bridesmaid in a wedding that Tonya photographed. My friend had nothing but great things to say about her and as I checked out Tonya’s website and all the work that she had done, I knew she was the photographer that we would end up going with! Dan and I met with her in person to look over some albums and slideshows and we couldn’t wait for her to capture our big day!
Videographer: First Beach Productions
Cake: Classic Cakes. Carol, was so great to work with and we loved getting to try all the fun flavors!
Florist: Arlene’s Designs. I was in love with how the flowers turned out. The arrangements tied into the color scheme/look we were going for perfectly. Arlene was great to work with.
Officiate: Kevin Pound of Mandarin Presbyterian
Hair: Simply Make-up and Hair- Amber. Amber was amazing! I did a trial with her a few months prior to my wedding and she did exactly what I was going for.
Make-up: Simply Make-up and Hair- Paige Smith. She did a fantastic job!
Entertainment: Cloud 9. We often go out to Atlantic Beach to hear them play. They did such a fantastic job and know how to get the crowd up and dancing!
Wedding Dress: White Magnolia
Wedding Shoes: Dillards. I’m not the best at walking in high heels so shoes are never something I’m overly concerned about! I found a really cute pair at Dillards that were also comfortable so they worked for me!
Bridesmaids Dresses: Bella Bridesmaid
Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Men’s Warehouse
Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet? We met through work at Fidelity. We ended up figuring out that we had quite a few mutual friends which started us off on common ground and we just ended up hitting it off!
How did he propose? My parents live in New Smyrna Beach and Dan knows it is one of my favorite places to be. For my 25th birthday we decided to go down to New Smyrna and celebrate with my family. That Saturday morning, we woke and went for a run to the beach and then came back home and Dan nonchantly suggested we go down to the dock to enjoy the rest of the morning. It was such a pretty day out and right then and there Dan got down on one knee and proposed!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake? I have always though that soft pastel colors are so romantic and end up looking so pretty in pictures. After having a few of my bridesmaids try on dresses and looking at Pinterest/wedding magazines, I decided to go with the light blush pink. I also didn’t want the color scheme to be too girly, so we also incorporated silver and gold aspects that I think also helped tie the color scheme in with the décor/colors of the venue.
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use? A friend at work referred me to Heather O’Brien Design. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I had no clue how many different types of paper and printing methods there were to choose from and I found it a little overwhelming! Being able to meet one-on-one with Heather made the process so easy and she designed exactly what I was looking for in the price range I was aiming for. I loved how the invites turned out!
After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon? Excellence Resort in Playa Mujeres, Mexico. Amazing!
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be? You’ll hear it over and over again as you plan your wedding, but don’t overstress about all the small details! Although it is almost inevitable not to worry about the little things from time to time, I really just had to adjust my perspective and think ‘big picture’ when I started to get stressed or overwhelmed. At the end of the day there was food, alcohol, and music! How could anyone not have a good time? Oh, and most importantly, I got to marry the love of my life!
