So I’ve always been back and forth between having a studio or not. I’m a numbers person, and I go back and forth on ideas for months sometimes years just to make sure it’s something that makes sense financially and not just something I WANT to do. This had been in the forefront of my head for about 6 months before I actively started looking for a place. Nothing ever came up that fit my needs, until ONE DAY the perfect little spot fell into my lap. A WONDERFUL photographer is in there now, but unfortunately she’s moving out of state soon. Jacksonville will certainly miss her and her amazing talent. But I’m thankful to have a cute space for my studio shoots and client meetings. April 1 is move in date…smack in the middle of busy season so cross your fingers I don’t lose my sanity!
In other Awesome news, I have an amazing new studio manager. She started 2 weeks ago, and she’s completely amazed me. She keeps me organized (crazy, I know), hasn’t let one thing slip through cracks, tied up all the albums I was working on, started several new albums, and the list goes on and on. She’s just great. I’m thankful to have her on board, and I’m excited that she can take so much off me. I can’t be my best as a creative person when I’m bogged down in my head with a million tasks. So she’s been able to free up some of what stays on my brain so my brain can be thinking on other things. For instance, I’ve spent the last 2 weeks making a look book. I have a TON of new products to share with new clients when we meet. Some are even hand crafted right here in Atlantic Beach. I’ll be posting a digital version of my look book soon so stay tuned! Lots of new products that even I hadn’t seen before.
Meet Amber, new studio manager!
