Sari and Mark are married! {Basilica and White Room, Saint Augustine wedding}

Sari and Mark have a lovestory romance, and their wedding day was just as perfect as well.  From the very first time I met Sari, I knew she was something special.  Full of joy and tender heart.  Their engagement session was the first time I met Mark.   The interaction between these two are what most people dream of having.  Nothing is taken too serious, life is good, and laughter is front and center.  To say my time with them has been fun is an understatment.

Fast forward to wedding day.  I started off with the girls getting ready.  I’m in the bedroom of the hotel setting up a dress shot when I can hear a knock on the hotel door.  I’m paying attention but still doing what I’m doing for my shot, and I hear a bridesmaid say “I don’t know…it’s some man”.  I pop my head in to see what’s going on, and I see a man in uniform and my bride in tears of joy.  She’s saying “I can’t believe this!  I can’t believe you made it!”.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.  Weddings are a LOT of hard work, and the emotional toll it takes on me to always be on is tough.  But it’s moments like that I get to experience with sweet brides that mean the world to me…it’s just priceless.

We girls head to the lightner to take some photos.  Thank you to another photographer who was already shooting there for letting us share the space =)  As we were headed to leave I watched Sari walk into some gorgeous lighting.  I think those are my favorite shots of the day.  Light through the veil is A-mazing.   We finish up girl’s formals while one of my amazing second shooters, Meghan, was shooting the boys.  I love Meghan’s eye for boys’ formals.

The ceremony was perfection.  Lots of tears of joy as you can see.  I love that we caught Mark giving Sari a wink during the ceremony.

The reception was SO much fun.  Sari is a ballroom dancer so she knows how to dance REALLY well.  Actually a lot of her guests did so it was pretty fun to see them all break it down.

Sari and Mark, I hope you had the wedding day of your dreams.  I wish you two a LONG life of happiness and that the laughter continues for you guys forever and ever.  Thank you so much for sharing your special day with me.  It was an honor, and I’ll cherish the memories and our new friendship forever.

xoxo

Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet?  At a mutual friends Christnukah party (Christmas/ Hanukah)

How did he propose?   On the back of Royal Caribbean’s Monarch of the Seas cruise ship.

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?  I love the color grey and I wanted the wedding to stand out, not the colors. So grey and white it was. Plus the event space was beautiful on its own and very much represented Mark and I.

How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use? I went to Michael’s and made my own.

After the Wedding …

Where did you go for your honeymoon?  10 night Cruise to the southern caribbean

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?   This is only the beginning. Enjoy every moment and make plans for when you return home.
