One of the greatest joys as a photographer is getting to see my families each year. It’s time to start thinking about Christmas cards which means time for family photos! That means I get to see all my annual portrait clients. But I guess there are certain ages where you see a HUGE difference in the children from year to year. This year was a biggie. I was reminiscing about last year and even watched their old slideshow in disbelief about how much the kids have grown! What’s so adorable is their personalities and how they remain the same. Sutton is a little spitfire, and she has been since day one. Don’t get me wrong, she’s respectful and very well behaved. But she has a personality to her that is so cute! And Roman, big brother, he is all about doing things just right. He wants to be on his best behavior and do whatever is asked of him. Then of course there’s mom and dad who are GORGEOUS. To top off this gorgeous family, we had amazing colors in the sky for their beach photos. It honestly couldn’t have been any better. I’m so thrilled with how everything came out. In addition to Christmas cards, this family wanted to update a living room wall with these photos. So we did some design work and will be framing them in Beach Frames. Made locally here in Atlanic Beach. Scroll to the bottom of the blog post for more info on that!
Jamie, Trinity, Roman, and Sutton – thank you for letting me be your family photographer! I look forward to seeing you every year and watching you grow up. <3
It’s super important to me to not only take beautiful photographs of my clients, but I also want to help them figure out how to use the images. Files are easily lost or corrupted through the years (just think VHS or floppy drives!) so my goal is to always make sure my clients have their favorite photos in print form as well. Going into a session I always ask what the use of the images will be for. Typically it’s for wall portraits, or to make a coffee table book, canvases etc. Trinity wanted to update her new living room wall using Beach Frames. (www.beachframes.com – GREAT local maker of frames!) Using software I have, we were able to come up with a design they love, using images they love for a perfect wall of art using their family photos. This is the digital version of the layout. The white border reflects the size of the frame but the actual frame is distressed white wood. They are gorgeous! I’ll be posting the finished wall as soon as the frames are finished being custom made.
