Stacy and Derrol’s big day! Sawgrass wedding photography

Stacy and Derrol are so adorable.   I met Stacy via email many moons ago, and we were able to become friends and actually lean on each other through both of our wedding planning CRAZINESS!  Stacy is such a sweetheart, and  Derrol is such a great man.  Together they make such a beautiful couple, so in love.  They were married on a perfect Sunday afteroon at Sawgrass Marriot. The sunset coming through the trees during the ceremony was priceless. They did so many DIY projects that made the ceremony and reception very personal.  I’m so happy for you two, and I look forward to seeing your lovestory continue to grow =) xoxo

Their Details!

How did you meet? We met at Lake Shore Middle when he was doing the vending route. Two other teachers gave him my number and I had no idea (because I told them earlier I thought he was hot!) He called, and the rest is history!

How did he propose? He totalled his cab after he bought my ring, and decided he couldn’t wait until Christmas to propose. He asked me on his parent’s front porch, down on one knee an hour or so after the accident.

How did you choose things like your color scheme, flowers, and cake? I knew I wanted pink and black. I went with light pink and black because i fell in love with the black lace. Ivory went better with the light pink and black – and my dress was ivory.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? 7 night cruise to the Caribbean – Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Roatan, and Costa Maya.

WEDDING day specifics:

Rehearsal Dinner Location: Giuliano’s Italian on Baymeadows

Ceremony Location: Sawgrass Marriott – they did a great job with set up

Reception Location: Sawgrass Marriott – wonderful to work with – no complaints.

Caterer: Sawgrass Marriott

Wedding Coordinator: Crystal Sparks – she was fantastic

Photographer: We love her 🙂 She did a great job! She was personable and easy to open up to. She even helped re-lace my dress!

Videographer: None

Cake: Sawgrass Marriott – they did a great job. The red velvet tasted amazing and we were really happy with the way it looked.

Florist: Parker’s Events – I was not incredibly happy with the flowers but everyone else seemed to like them. I thought my bouquet was shaped weirdly – too pointy and it wasn’t what I discussed. I thought my bridesmaids bouquets were prettier. Her prices were fair, though.

Officiant: Duke Graham – my grandparents’ long-time pastor. He did a great job and it was a meaningful ceremony.

Hair: Rebecca Reavis. She is AMAZING. She did an absolutely wonderful job.

Make-up: Jennifer Shannon. She is so talented and did her job very quickly. We were SO happy with her work and couldn’t have asked for more.

Entertainment: Unique DJ Entertainment. We LOVED the MC and thought he did a great job with what he had to work with (a dry wedding with people reluctant to dance). The DJ made several mistakes and waited until the last minute to get the songs I requested even though he had them 4 months in advance. I had to track the down for him.

Transportation: None

Wedding Dress: Maggie Sottero Sabelle. LOVED IT! Purchased from Park Avenue Bridal. They were fabulous to work with.

Bridesmaids Dresses: Jordan Couture collection, 1800. Purchased online through Netbrides.com. All came in early and in perfect condition. MUCH cheaper than they would have been in a store.

Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Michael’s Formalwear. They were great to work with and very flexible.
