Stephanie & John’s Gorgeous Wedding at TPC Sawgrass!!

Stephanie and John had a beautiful wedding day at TPC Sawgrass!  We started out the day with meeting Stephanie and her beautiful girls in the ladies locker room to get dressed.  Stephanie chose an absolutely gorgeous dress…I couldn’t imagine anything more perfect for her!  We went out back to grab a few family shots and bridesmaids shots before heading back in to let her cool off.  Then we went to find the guys who were of course by the bar.  We went out front of the clubhouse for some gorgeous shots out on the front porch.  Their ceremony was inside with the most amazing floral decor.  Everything was so over the top with the flowers.  Everywhere you turned, there was a huge arrangement.  They said their “I do’s” then we headed out on to the course for some photos of just the couple.  TPC is one of those breathtaking backdrops that you could shoot at for days and days and never get tired of it.  I love the pictures we ended up with during this time…outside of the couple constantly checking the score for the Gator Game!  Once back inside we headed up to the reception.  There were sweet toasts by the fathers, of course the dances with fathers of bride and mother of the groom.  After our cake cutting and hilarious toasts it was non stop dancing and fun!  All and all, I would say these two had a great wedding day.  No wedding day is perfect, but these two are the type to just roll with it and be completely fine with anything coming their way…b/c at the end of the day…they were married.  And that’s all that counts.

Love you guys!!!  xoxox

(A special huge thank you to Chris Hoffman, one of the best coordinators EVER…and the guys from Wilson’s Florist for helping everything along the way!)

Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet?

We worked on the same shift together at Gainesville Heath and Fitness Center in college.

How did he propose?

John proposed on Christmas Eve, just the two of us and Christmas lights!

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?

Our color scheme was navy & green. I wanted a formal wedding but not black so we went with the navy and the green for a fun pop of color. We also used a Damask pattern as another cohesive element to tie everything together.

Flowers à Our florist was amazing!!! I had a few minor requests (I wanted an orchid bouquet, a dramatic look, and no roses) I gave him our budget, color scheme and my few wishes and let him do the rest. I think it worked amazingly well to let them utilize their creative abilities and knowledge and gave me one less thing to worry about. The flowers turned out Amazing, we have gotten so many compliments on them!

Cake à we knew we were going with classic cakes, and wanted a simple and traditional looking wedding cake with a Gator inspired grooms cake, this was probably the easiest decision we made!

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?

Don’t expect anyone to agree with most of your decisions, so remember what is important to you and let the rest go, it won’t matter at the end of the day anyways!
