BRING A FRIEND DAY

Crossfit total control has been my fitness home for the last few years. I had a friend that would BEG me to come to bring a friend day for at least a solid year before I grew enough courage to actually go. There’s always the fear of such intensity that’s associated with crossfit (or was at least for me).

Once I stepped foot in the door I found a community that was welcoming, warm, inviting. Over time I would also find that community to be incredibly friendly, supportive, and honestly like nothing else I’ve experienced in a group. There’s a certain level of fear of failure I think we all walk through our life with.

Having a daily even that seems overwhelmingly difficult (or impossible sometimes), facing it, and finishing it…all with a team of people around you cheering you on to the finish line. THAT is crossfit. And that’s what keeps me coming back.

Each month my gym holds a bring a friend day. This month I snapped a few photos for their website and decided to post to my blog as well.

Especially during this difficult year, it’s incredibly important to self care. Top of that list for me is my health and fitness. Moving my body around every single day.
