MARI + JASON WEDDING DAY
One of my favorite weddings of my entire career. The officiant NAILED it, and the 8 guests were all on point. The couple, well they’re just beautiful…inside and out.
Love Story:
How did you two meet?
Jason and I met 15 years ago working up in Connecticut. We were friends but one of us (who will remain anonymous) liked the other one a little bit more than friends. We both moved away, grew up, started our lives and bettered ourselves only to reconnect years later through social media.
I took a huge leap and decided to come to Florida for a girls weekend with the intention of meeting Jason for dinner to catch up. Little did I know that that boy from a lifetime ago was going to steal my heart that weekend. Needless to say, when you know, you know…and we knew that we were meant to be together. Forever. Here we are today only a few short months later married with a baby girl on the way and we couldn’t be happier or more in love.
How did he propose?
Every sunday, Jason and I head to the beach to our favorite coffee spot for breakfast and to spend uninterrupted time together. Some days we bring our two pups, sometimes we make it just about the two of us. We had just picked up our newest puppy Josie the week before so we wanted to bring her along on our sunday date. I asked Jason if we could bring our coffee to a nearby park so that Josie could run.
Being the nice guy that he is, he found the perfect little park by the beach as soon as I made the suggestion. Jason suggested that we take some pictures of the new pup and my growing baby bump to send out to friends and family and the park was the perfect backdrop for just that. As we were posing and I was giving direction (per usual) Jason started talking about memories we shared, feelings he had, and before I knew it he was down on one knee, the most perfect ring was on my finger, and our pup Josie was off digging a hole under a bench nearby.
(all caught on video by the way).
I had never been more sure of anything in my life than the moment I said yes to this guy.
Wedding planning:
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Simplicity. We wanted this day to be about us and our vows.
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
No invitations. Just called our best friends and asked them to be a part of this intimate ceremony.
What was the most fun part of wedding planning?
The ease and no stress of it all, honestly!I
Which part did you not like as much?
having to wait! I would have married Jason the second he asked me if I could have.
What are the biggest pieces of advice you wish you would have known before the
wedding day.
Take in every second of the day. It flies by!

What was the high point of your wedding day that you hope to remember forever?
The high point of my wedding day was honestly the moment that my two best gals pulled up to the park and I could see my soon to be husband standing across the way looking so incredibly handsome and so nervous. He was looking over his hand written vows and I knew how worried he was about messing them up.
We sat there for a few minutes waiting for our cue to get out of the car and just watched him and I just remember thinking to myself “man, I am the happiest I have ever been and I get to marry my perfect guy today”.
That was my favorite moment. Just pure happiness.
