Photographer: Tonya Beaver Photography Duh!
The best wedding photographer out there! She was fantastic! She stayed calm with my big family and got everything we wanted in a short amount of time. She kept it focused, fun and light.
And her assistants were amazing! They were very creative, so sweet, and willing to do anything. Tonya took part in everything and from the makeup in the morning until we drove off later that night. I knew from her taking the photos at my sisters wedding she was the one thing I didn’t have to stress or worry about from day one!

Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet?
We have always known each other but we didn’t “see” each other until we started working together in a doctor’s office. We started dating shortly after and have been inseparable since!
How did he propose?
He took me horseback riding on the beach, something I’ve always wanted to do. He had the horse owner in on it and the devised a plan to “fix” his straps halfway though our ride down the beach. He got off the horse and asked me to take a picture with him and kneeled by the water and asked me to be his wife. It was perfect!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
Black and White is my favorite color scheme. My room has always been black and white and now my house is full of black and white. I knew I wouldn’t be happy if I didn’t go with a classic theme and have black and white.
Flowers:
For the flowers I wanted to do brooch bouquets. After several months of searching I finally made the bouquets using the brooches that were perfect for the final look I wanted. I also wanted to be able to keep it and not have to throw it away.
Cake:
As far as the cake goes there was no question on Publix doing it because they have the best cake! We went with cupcakes because that’s my nickname from Ryan and they also happen to be cheaper!
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
I wanted simple and easy. We bought the invitations at Michael’s and Ryan, my husband, created our own design for them. I figured not many people would keep them and I wanted to spend our money on things I really wanted like an amazing photographer.
After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
We went back to Amelia Island where we got engaged. It was very fun and relaxing
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
Not to worry about the weather! I spent the whole day before the wedding freaking out over the rain and it all being messed up when I should have spent it enjoying the time with my family and Ryan, my future husband. Also for me to stop and take a few seconds to look down the aisle.
It went by so fast that I wish I had looked at Ryan a few seconds longer to hold the look on his face in my mind. But even with that the day was still perfect =)
