Brandy + Matt’s Wedding Day

Brandy and Matt had a very “interesting” wedding day. When I arrived, as I do at all weddings, I come join in the party and see how things are running. Immediately I could tell something was wrong. If you know me, you know I do NOT like when my bride isn’t happy on her wedding day and I see my generally bouncy fun bride in tears!

Somehow the florist misunderstood what types of flowers AND what colors she wanted so the bouquets and table settings were incorrect. We all make mistakes, and I really felt for everyone involved. However, I watched as the florist was really disrespectful to my bride and her mother as she demanded that the fault was not hers.

It was just a very unprofessional and upsetting situation for all involved. From there a few other major things went wrong with the day, but luckily Brandy and Matt are the type people that can bounce back when the you know what hits the fan. Fast forward to after the wedding, we really wanted to do something for Brandy that could make up for everything that went wrong.

So we emailed Matt to see if she would want a session to get back in her dress, have the CORRECT bouquet, and have stress free photos taken. He said she would love it, so we set it up. I have to say a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Paulina Perez’s team member Khiara for redoing Brandy’s makeup for free.

AND A Fantasy in Flowers offered to make her a free bouquet and boutonniere just to be a part of making her day even better. They weren’t the florist that originally messed up, but I’m so thankful that they wanted to help out a bride that they didn’t even know!

Brandy and Matt, I hope you enjoyed this session…okay I know Brandy did 😉 You know I adore you two, and even though the wedding day wasn’t “perfect”, it was still amazing getting to watch you two go through it all together. You have amazing friends and family, and you have a love that I don’t get to see all that often…and in the end, that’s so much more amazing than any wedding day could ever be. xoxo
