Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet?

We met on Match.com and had our first date at TacoLu, which still remains one of our favorite spots in Jax.

How did he propose?

After a romantic dinner at a historic inn in Savannah, we took a walk around the beautiful squares and Almur got down on one knee and proposed!

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?

We kept it simple. I love Almur in blue and wanted a neutral tone for my bridesmaids so we choose soft pink/blush for the girls and deep blue for the boys. Almur’s aunt was our florist and we gave her creative control over the arrangements. And we wanted a simple, rustic look for the cake and it came out beautiful!

How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?

We sent electronic invitations using Paperless Post.

What was the most fun part of wedding planning?

Searching for the venue and choosing a dress!

Which part did you not like as much?

All of the little details at the end. They seem endless when your going through it.

After the Wedding …

What was the high point of your wedding day that you hope to remember forever?

Having so much fun! I found wedding planning super painful, but it was all worth it at the end. It was truly a perfect day!

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?

Don’t try to plan a wedding and study for the bar exam at the same time. It was unnecessarily stressful!

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Scandinavia. We went to Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and had the best time!!
