Cassandra + Clint Wedding Photos
Wedding Day Info:
Hotel accommodations for guests: Renaissance, BlueGreen Villa’s, Comfort Inn
Rehearsal Dinner Location: The Villagio inside Renaissance Hotel
Ceremony Location: Outside the Slammer & Squire Clubhouse
It was a gorgeous location, overlooking water and the green
Reception Location: Slammer & Squire Clubhouse
Caterer: Slammer & Squire Clubhouse
Wedding Coordinator: Jessica Getzlaff (good friend of mine from high school).
I did not want to have someone I didn’t know running the show. Jessica is super organized and loves being bossy (lol!).
She also knew my style and what I was expecting from my special day. I was so thankful she was there and certainly made me more at ease knowing she could handle it.
Photographer: The one & only Tonya Beaver Photography!
Tonya and her assistant Stef were awesome. They were there to capture it all and I mean EVERYTHING.
But from the smallest detail to the great big wedding day picture. They arrived while I was getting hair & make-up done and stayed until we drove away.
They kept it focused yet fun and reassured me when I was getting anxious that everything timing wise would work out. Thank you girls, I couldn’t ask for a better way than how you captured all my wedding day memories!
Videographer: In Motion Video Productions, Christina Grimsley.
So glad Clint insisted on having them, I get to see all that I missed.
Christina’s team did a great job! They were professional and I was happy to have them there to get it all on film. They were a very important behind the scenes part of my wedding.
Cake: Classic Cakes.
Carol, was so easy to work with and best of all they make the yummiest flavors
Florist: Anything Plants & Flowers.
Pam was great to work with! The flowers were gorgeous and most of all my Gerber daisies were the prettiest pink I have ever seen.
Officiate: Mark Washburn (my Dad’s brother) & Fred Hackett (my Godfather).
Since Clint & I were not attending church regularly and did not have a pastor who really knew us…
I loved the idea of having two family members perform the ceremony.
Uncle Mark was not a notary but I am his favorite niece and I knew he would do a great job at reading the wedding script Clint & I had written together.
Uncle Fred “the Godfather”and my dad’s best friend is a notary and made it legal. Both of them did a great job and I am so blessed that they were there!
Hair: Mark Hart (The Hart).
Love him! We had a practice run a few days before (I highly recommend) and love what he did. I knew I wanted it to the side with curls down and I think it turned out gorgeous!
Make-up: Sunshine Jones
Entertainment: DJ ThunderCat.
He was a recommended by Tonya and was awesome!
He reassured us of the timing and did a great job keeping everyone entertained and the party going. He asked us what we wanted in the reception and stuck to all of our requests.
Wedding Dress: Bridals & More.
Madelyn & Miram are wonderful!Wedding Shoes: Rack Room Shoes (it was a great find)
Bridesmaids Dresses: Bridals & More
Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Men’s Warehouse
Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet?
14 years ago at a friend’s lake house in Palatka. We dated for a few months and lost contact (also, known as him breaking up with me). We found each other again on Match.com Jan 2012 and we have been together ever since
How did he propose?
He developed quite the plan with my friends and took me back to that same lake house we met at in the summer of ’99. He asked me to take a boat ride around the lake with him at sunset.
Once we were out by the island he idled the boat and he got down on one knee and proposed…”Casandra Leigh will you marry me.” It was perfect!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
I knew I had to have hot pink in there somewhere and Clint looks good in black….so Hot Pink, Black & White it was.
Flowers:
I love pink Gerber daisies and roses so the florist took it from there.
Cake:
I am not big on wedding cakes but knew I wanted something sweet there so we did a cupcake cake with lots of yummy flavors: strawberry margarita (my fav), chocolate ganache, lemon, carrot cake.
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
I wanted something simple, nothing folded or frilly…just classic but with a twist. It was a single oblong invitation with black writing and a touch of pink. I ordered them from “Things Very Special” and Cissy was very helpful!
After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
Celebrity Eastern Caribbean Cruise. It was wonderful!
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
To not worry so much about the timeline….everything will work itself out. No matter what, I was still marrying the love of my life! Also, to try and take as much in as possible.
But the quiet moments, the walk, getting ready with the girls, all the friends & family there and the look on Clint’s face when he first saw me…if only time could stand still for just a second. Friends warned me that day would go by too fast….and they were right.
