KC + RYAN Wedding Photos

Gosh this wedding! I’ve been shooting weddings for about 17 years in Jacksonville now, and I’ve never been to either of these wedding venues. And what a treat it was.

To start out our day, we met KC at their home for getting ready photos. Girl time getting ready portion is always some of my favorite of the day. I don’t know if it’s because of the meeting of new girls, all the fun laughs and jokes, getting pampered with hair and makeup, not sure. It’s just always fun…and rushed!

The girls finished up and headed over to the Celestial Farms to chill before the ceremony. We took that time to gather the guys for their formals. That way we wouldn’t have to do them after the ceremony. I knew I wanted as much time as possible for just KC and Ryan’s photos because this place was BEAUTIFUL and woodsy.

The ceremony was so beautiful and sweet….I remember it being so short! In my meeting with KC before her big day she really only one or two REALLY IMPORTANT photos she wanted. One was them exiting the ceremony with the flower petals being thrown.

I made her the promise that I would tell her if the moment was picture perfect or if we should try later in the day to get something similar. WELLLLLL, the aisles were so spread apart, and hardly anyone threw petals. SO, we did a little something different later in formals that I think turned out beautifully.

Formals were incredibly fun at Celestial Farms because of all the backlight, the horses, and who only knew what animal was going to walk by at any given moment. And that was the fun of it. I had never heard of this place much less been there so definitely if your’e interested in checking it out, it will not disappoint. I must say too, their staff was very accommodating and kind to us the entire process as well.

After photos we headed downtown to 927 events. Also my first time being at that venue. It was incredibly different and interesting for a wedding reception, and given whatever guest count of your wedding, I would recommend! It’s so unique! The outside has the brick wall for photos, and inside is split level. So people could eat or hand downstairs to be more chill.

And they could be upstairs to be in the more lively area so having that option was great for guests. We bumped into the owner as we were leaving, and he too was incredibly kind and welcoming to the venue. The food was a taco bar which everyone always loves. The DJ’s had the party going and as you can see the night included some fireball shots which also helped the party get started. Everyone had a BLAST.

KC and Ryan had a perfect wedding day, and checking in with them later, they too were happy with how their day turned out. Of course no day is ever 100% perfect or according to plan, but these two rolled with everything and their happiness and fun was evident throughout the entire day.

It was a huge honor to be a part of their wedding, and I’m so excited at how their photos and video sneak peek turned out. Thank you two for letting us tag along and as always a HUGE shout out to Allison for so much help as the best second shooter on the planet =)
