“Paul is working from home for Humana and I am still working full time as an Occupational Therapist in an assisted living facility, so we are the only people the residents are seeing each day, not only providing their therapy but delivering their meals and mail, putting together activities for them to do and having as normal of a routine for the patients as possible, since no family or friends are allowed in to see their family members.

As soon as I get home from work, i start homeschool with GiGi and Paul is able to start his work day working from home for Humana. Through the Bold Goal initiative he is running he is working with a variety of community organizations to help get food and toiletries delivered to homebound seniors throughout the area.

He has worked with the Humana Foundation to provide money to Feeding Northeast Florida to help them purchase food for their food distributions, and he has raised $100,000 through Humana’s leadership that will go to the First Coast relief fund that provides much needed funding to the nonprofit community that is helping with essential services in the Jacksonville area. In honor of Tonya Beaver Photography, we have made a personal donation to Feeding Northeast Florida and Beam.

Per GiGi, “what I love about quarantine is that I get to be with my mommy and daddy all of the time and the not good part about quarantine is that we don’t get to have our family and friends over or go to the beach.”

As for celebrating our 13 year anniversary, we watched our wedding video together along with GiGi and I think the best part of it was watching her face and seeing her reaction of watching her mommy and daddy getting married.

As with any marriage or relationship, there are ups and downs, but what I think makes us so strong 13 years later is the love and commitment that we have with each other. So we realize it might not have been the way we would have chosen to celebrate but being together is the most important part and we were together and for that we am thankful!”
