Love Story:
How did you two meet?
We met on a dating app in the middle of the COVID pandemic. I think our dogs fell in love before we did,
but we weren’t too far behind.
How did he propose?
We love playing games together, one of which being hangman on a white board on our fridge. One day
the phrase he wrote for me to guess was “will you marry me?”, and I thought it was a joke until he
opened a drawer and pulled out a ring.
Wedding planning:
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Pinterest was my best friend when planning the wedding. Green is my favorite color, and seeing
combinations of greens and terracotta colors gave me the ‘boho’ vibe I was looking for, and the perk
was that it didn’t clash with my hair!
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
We searched for ‘boho’ invitations on the knot and found the perfect invitation that matched our
flowers so perfectly.
What was the most fun part of wedding planning?
We loved spending time together. Somehow, I found myself a fiancé that wanted to be involved every
step of the way, so we had fun picking things out and complaining about having to make so many
decisions.
Which part did you not like as much?
…having to make so many decisions.
What are the biggest pieces of advice you wish you would have known before the wedding day?
Stress less about the little things. No one is going to remember what my table numbers looked like, so I
didn’t need to spend that much time picking them out. The same goes for all the little things I worried
about all week, because we had the perfect vendor team and I didn’t have to worry about a single thing
when I got there.
In your words, can you give a storyline of your wedding day?
Our wedding day was such a chill and amazing day. It felt like we were just hanging out with our friends
and family all day, just with fancier clothes and better food. We showed up and unpacked the car
together, spent a few hours listening to music and getting ready with our friends, goofed around in front of the cameras, and then laughed and danced with our friends and families. It was the perfect day and a
dream come true.
What was the high point of your wedding day that you hope to remember forever?
We loved our first look. It was nice to see each other all dressed up without the pressure of everyone
else watching us too. It took away any anxiety because we got to be with our person for an intimate and
goofy moment. I also loved our ceremony. It was so special to have our friend officiate for us, and it fit
our personalities perfectly.
