How they met-

Pat and I met at a mutual friend’s birthday party at a bar in Brooklyn (@thewoodsbrooklyn) in 2019 where Pat was DJing with his friend @sagelovesny. I was sitting at the bar before the party, and was about to leave because our friends were really late, when Pat (who was also late) made a beeline for the DJ booth. He played “Heartbeats” by The Knife, which I love, so I decided to wait a little longer – and now I’m really glad I did. We were introduced and the rest is history. 🙂

We moved in together in March 2020, got engaged under the stars in Andes, NY in February 2021, and then traded in our busy city life for the sun and surf in Jacksonville just a few weeks ago.

Why did we elope?

Well, we wanted to plan a bangin’ party for all of our family and friends (and still do), but many of them have to fly across the country one way or another, and we figure those plans can wait until COVID is less of an issue. That said, we were ready to tie the knot, so we opted for a small ceremony on the scenic farm at Congaree and Penn with our immediate family. We couldn’t have hoped for a more beautiful day!
