Jessica + Josh Wedding Photos
I met Jess when she was a bridesmaid for her cousin’s wedding. Soon enough I saw through Facebook that Josh had popped the question so now it was her turn to be a bride. And a gorgeous one she was. She picked a perfect venue for their style. From the colors to attire to dj, everything was perfect.
Congrats you two!

Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet?
We met while we were both members of the FSU Flying High Circus. Josh was a juggler and I was an aerial performer. We first became friends during the circus’ summer program at Callaway Gardens. Josh apparently had a crush on me the whole summer that I was oblivious to 🙂 and on the last day of camp Josh asked me if we could hang out when we got back to school. We started dating the following school semester and have been together ever since. (5 ½ years J)
How did he propose?
On the Friday before Josh was leaving to start his new job in Nashville he came to visit me. When I got home from work he was there and said he wanted to take me out for a nice dinner as a kind of going away thing. On the way Josh suggested we stop at our favorite park in Mandarin (Walter Jones Park) and walk around to kill some time before our reservation. It was a little rainy but I agreed this was a good idea.
We walked through the park taking our usual path. When we got on the boardwalk it was a little slippery and I almost fell flat on my back. eek! Fortunately Josh caught me and we continued to the end of the boardwalk where we stopped to enjoy the beautiful view of the river. We talked for a minute then Josh asked me to hold the umbrella and I knew …! 🙂 He then got down on one knee and proposed 🙂
After lots of jumping for joy we made our way to the restaurant where Josh had another surprise for me. His whole family and mine were at the restaurant for an engagement party. It was so special to have everyone there 🙂
It was everything I wanted and more :):)
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
I decided to go with a spring garden theme. Deciding the theme first really helped me make the color/decoration decisions.
Flowers:
Publix did my flowers and my cake. For the flowers I told them I was going with blue and pink and that I wanted the flowers to look as if they were picked from a garden and were loosely bundled.
Cake:
For the cake I wanted it to have lots subtle detail like my gown. I looked at pictures that Publix provided of other people’s cakes and combined drawings that I made with something they hand already done.

Try to look at the big picture and be confident in your wedding detail choices. Second guessing is useless because your first decision is almost always the best.
