The most AMAZING photographer EVER!!!! TONYA BEAVER!!! who also served as my wedding coordinator and kept us on time while getting amazing pictures! Spent the entire night with us and got every shot that any girl could ask for kept our huge bridal party under control and made us laugh the entire day!
Best moment was after the ceremony I was soooooo unbelievably hot in my dress and as if she was reading my mind Tonya started lifting the bottom of my dress and fanning me….it was AWESOME!!!!!!

Groom & Groomsmen wear: Mens Warehouse
Jessica had a piece of one her of dad’s shirts sewn into her wedding dress…
Oh my gosh I think these two are SO CUTE!!!! Just before start of the ceremony they were sitting on a couch together looking all cute. I said, “Hey you two lean together for a picture!” The little boy replies with, “I can’t. I’m not allowed to touch her…” I died laughing. Kids can catch you so off guard with their comebacks.
The priest had fun with the first kiss. Apparently from what I heard, George forgot to kiss Jessica at rehearsal???
I LOVED Jessica’s details (if you can’t tell haha)
If you’ve never attended a traditional Arabic reception, I give you full permission to party crash. It’s A—–mazing. Family is top priority and weddings are a full on celebration…as you can tell from the finish of the first dance everyone coming in to congratulate them.
GAHHHH tear jerker here. The DJ stopped to read something to the couple and present them with a gift. He read a letter in honor of Jessica’s father…as a letter to them as a couple on their first day of the marriage. (crying even typing this). It was VERY sweet and such a tender moment as you can tell. Jessica was also presented with long stem red roses.
This is Jessica and George watching a same day edit of their wedding video. The videographer’s did an AMAZING job on it. I mean, can you even imagine dumping the memory cards as the day is going, picking out clips you want, editing it, setting to music, etc???? WHEW. But they nailed it. As you can tell, Jess and George were THRILLED.
This traditional dance is one of my favorite things about even being a wedding photographer. On the limo ride to the wedding, I asked “are we doing the circle dance?!!!” Jessica was like, “YEAHHHHHHH, and George is THE best!”. There is a leader with a napkin, lots of fancy footwork, LOTS of stomping and yelling. It’s seriously so great. I just love a culture that men can lead in dancing AND look at George’s hand as he’s holding the guy next to him…
There’s HUNDREDS of reception pictures, but in effort to keep the blog post within reason, I’m not posting the rest. The night was amazing…period. The last pics are down by the bridge. We shot these around 12:30am or so. They still look amazing despite dancing the night away. Thanks to George’s friend for coming to help hold the lights and fun conversation =)
Before the Wedding (From Jessica):
How did you two meet?
We met 6 1⁄2 years ago in undergrad at The University of South Florida. We were in the same premed genetics class and a mutual friend, Ergen(one of the groomsmen) who was also in our class formally introduced us outside of the library. We began a “study” friendship and then took the same biochemistry class the following semester and George asked me out at 3am after a long night of cramming for our first Biochem exam.
How did he propose?
He took me to Disney World, one of our favorite places, on Friday and he wore cargo shorts and brought a new camera with him and made sure that we made it to the front of the castle for the fireworks show…i definitely thought he was gonna propose!
He tricked me! Instead he proposed on Sunday at the Swan & Dolphin resort after a Mickey and Minnie Mouse breakfast, day at the spa, paddle boats and a romantic dinner. He definitely kept me in suspense! 🙂 But it was perfect, I wouldn’t have changed any bit of it
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
Well, first we decide that blush pink and gold looked beautiful after searching some pictures on theknot.com. Then the type A personality in me freaked out with the idea of gold accents and silverware…so it then became blush pink and silver/gray.
Flowers:
George & I decided on all white flowers and pink uplighting. After looking at a million pinterest pictures we decided on hydrangeas and George loved the circular symmetrical look and I insisted on tall centerpieces.
Cake:
The cake was a mixture of pinterest pictures and our own style 🙂 a tall and blingy yet classy cake was very important to us! the flavor for the cake was a simple decision once we tasted flavors at For the Love of Cake.
How did you decide on your invitations?
We searched high and low many websites and many locations in Tampa. We finally decided on an invite from Weddingpaperdivas.com and had them backed and blinged by Diane at Tampa Calligraphy….we loved the final product
After the Wedding:
The Honeymoon:
We went to the Hardrock Resort and Casino in Punta Cana, DR 🙂 It was awesome!!!!! The weather was fabulous and our suite was two steps from the beach and 4 pools. We got a great tan, partied and relaxed! We also went to Vegas for a part two and stayed at the Aria skysuites tower in a penthouse and partied before starting residency as the Doctors Bahri 🙂
