Before the Wedding …(from Kaela)

How did you two meet?

Eric and I went to church together and on Wednesday nights we had youth group. He is older than me so I couldn’t drive yet and he could. My mom offered to give him free haircuts if I could ride with him to youth group. Eric agreed but was not happy about it.

He wanted to go out with his friends after church but was burdened with having to take me home. Eventually we grew on each other and started dating December 2008

How did he propose?

Savannah is one of my favorite close places to visit. So one day we drove to Savannah and he took me to this driveway lined with old oak trees which is my favorite! He set up a camera to take pictures of us and then pretended like he was tying his shoe and popped the question. The best part, he got it all on video!

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?

I love everything country and so after days and weeks of obsessing on pinterest, I found my color scheme and cake

How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?

I made my invitations myself from yet another idea I saw on pinterest. They took the longest and were the most dreaded part of the wedding planning

After the Wedding …

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

Yosemite National Forest, San Francisco, Napa Valley

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?

To not worry so much….everything will work itself out. No matter what, I was still marrying the love of my life! Also, to try and take as much in as possible…the quiet moments, the walk, getting ready with the girls, all the friends & family there and the look on Eric’s face when he first saw me…remember why you’re doing it!
