Kate is one of my very best friends in the world. She was in my wedding, and now I get to photograph hers. I’m honored and SO excited for her as she takes on this new role in the next chapter of her life. Sean, I couldn’t be more happy about the man God chose to be her husband. I love you guys!

Sean and Kate met on October 29^th, 2011 at Little Talbot Island. Kate was with his two sisters who had been working hard for over a year to introduce the two of them. His sister Melissa would always tell Kate, “when you’re ready to meet your soul mate, just let me know and I’ll introduce you to Sean”.

She could not have been more right. Sean was fishing at the northern most part of the island as Kate, Melissa and Danielle were making their way down the beach to meet him. Unfortunately for the girls, Mother Nature was not on their side that day.

They ended up getting caught in high tide with no other way to reach Sean except by fighting the waves and the rip current. After what seemed like hours, Melissa spotted Sean running though the water towards them. At that moment, Kate knew she was in good hands. Fast forward five months to February 11, 2012.

Sean planned a camping trip for himself and Kate, but before the trip could begin, he wanted to take her back to the spot where they first met. He wanted her to see his favorite place on a day where she didn’t have to worry about losing her life to the surf. As they approached the exact spot where Sean first saw her, he stopped and pointed out that where she was standing was the exact place where he fell in love with her.

He told her that he knew he loved her the minute he saw her and that he knew he wanted to have kids with her and he wanted to grow old with her. He slowly went down on one knee, took her by the hand and asked if she would do him the honor of becoming his wife. Kate said absolutely “yes”…just as Melissa knew she would.
