Melissa and Nick are married! – Hammock Dunes Wedding Photography

Melissa and Nick have been together since birth (not really…it’s just been a really long time!)  They are perfect sweet couple.  The wedding day was so gorgeous.  Melissa spent a lot of time on the details of her planning.  Her ceremony setup and table setting concepts were carried out so beautifully.  You could just really tell how much she put into the planning, and it really paid off.  Gorgeous!!!

THE LOVE!!!!

How did you two meet? We met in Junior High, we started dating when we were 13 years old. It’s funny because no one ever thinks you’ll stay together when you meet so young, we always just told people we’re the exception   How did he propose?  He proposed the day before Christmas Eve in Saint Augustine. We went to Harry’s Seafood for dinner, then as we were walking through all the Christmas lights in the park, he got down on one knee under a big oak tree and proposed.   How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake? I really love the blue and yellow color scheme. Nick said anything but pink was fine. My flowers were from Rachael Kasie Designs; I found her on the knot.com. I was looking for someone young who had the same taste as mine. Nick said no to Pink dresses, so I brought in as many hot pink and coral flowers as possible. My cake was from Publix. I wanted a cake that was not only pretty, but tasted good too. Your Special Day!

After the Wedding …

Where did you go for your honeymoon? We went to the Sandals Grand Riviera in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It was amazing! I’m a huge Sandals fan.

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be? Over prepare, then go with the flow. Start getting ready early, if you plan for everything “on time”, you’ll run late.

  1. Gorgeous wedding and amazing pictures, Tonya! My girls have the same dresses from David’s, except in pewter. And I have spent too much time at Michael’s looking at glass jars/containers because I recognize the ones they used for the sand for their ceremony as the same ones we got for our candy bar, haha.
