Morgan and Joel’s wedding day was super special to me.  Morgan and I are from the same hometown of Live Oak, Florida, same school, same church, same “people”.  So to be up close and personal for such a special moment in life was such an honor to me.  Joel is such an awesome guy and perfect fit for her.  They were married in our hometown and a beautiful location that was truly picture perfect.

Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet?

In 1996 our youth groups went on a mission trip to Mexico together. However, it wasn’t until 2008 when we reconnected in Tulsa Oklahoma that the sparks began.

How did he propose?

He came to my apartment on a Saturday morning and made me breakfast. As we were eating he pulled out the ring and said that he wanted all of our mornings to be together.

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?

Our favorite color is green. Morgan was going through an obsession for Turquoise at the time, so here you have, green and turquoise.

Rehearsal Dinner Location: Meeting room located at Camp Weed catered by the their staff.

Ceremony Location: Mandi’s Chapel at Camp Weed

Reception Location: Outdoor Patio near Mandi’s Chapel

Caterer: Raleigh Dowling, Director of Culinary Services, Camp Weed.

Bridesmaids Dresses: Bridesmaid’s provided their own black cocktail dresses.

Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Men’s Warehouse/ groomsmen provided their own black suits.

After the Wedding …

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We took an Eastern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean for 7 days. It was fantastic.

If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?

Eat dessert first.
