Rebecca and Thomas’ Wedding day – Hammock Dunes Wedding Photos

Becca and Thomas had a beautiful wedding day.  Let me start by saying how gorgeous Hammock Dunes is.  I’ve been to several venues out there, but this was my first visit at this particular one.  And it did not disappoint.  The inside and out was top notch.  This was a destination wedding, and I had only met Thomas a few days prior for their engagement photos.  Right off the bat we all enjoyed our time together.  My favorite times with couples are those laughing and joking, and that was 100% of the time with these two.

Becca chose a dress that was simple and elegant for her wedding day.  She had they boys dressed in linen pants with white shirts and FLIP FLOPS!  Love it!  All of her little details pulled together so beautifully which made my job very easy bringing life and color to photos.  Taylor, her matron of honor, is an event planner so I’m sure she offered lots of input and help in the planning.

Becca and Thomas said their vows to each other on a little grassy area leading out to the beach.  Their little flower girl and ring bearer were so cute getting down the aisle.  It took a little bit of time for them to realize which direction to head, but finally they did and it was Becca’s turn.  With her mom and dad by her side, she walked through their friends and family.  Heads were peaking around trying to get a glimpse of her.  Thomas’ face had a huge grin on it.  =)  That’s by far my favorite part of the day.  I always say magic happens on earth at that moment.  I get goose bumps everytime.

For our formal photos we moved around the property and even headed down to the beach to get some pics of the couple and their FUN and crazy wedding party.

The reception followed the same laid back theme.  Instead of a traditional dj or band, they chose to have an entertainer that played the steel drumb, guitar, and sing.  Very Carribbean, Jimmy Buffet feel.  Perfect for their day.

It was a perfect wedding day, and I hope it was everything they had dreamed of.  I’m so blessed to have been a part of it and get to know Becca, Thomas, and their friends and family better.  It was certainly a joy.

Before the Wedding …

How did you two meet? We met on the internet, although we’re both too embarrassed to admit it.  Our first date was to mini golf and drinks afterwards but Tom was three days shy of 21 and I had to buy him beer.

How did he propose?   We went to NY City just after the holidays.  Tom had grand plans of asking me in central park on a carriage ride however there were extremely bad storms and we couldn’t go.  Tom was so anxious to do it he took me out on the harbor in the pouring rain with the excuse of, “you know how much I like to watch boats” and proposed.   I was totally shocked!

How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?  Just looked at lots of pictures and once I decide on my venue tailored the theme to it.
