Sara + Andrew NAS Wedding Photos
Sara and Andrew are one of the most laid back couples I’ve ever had. To start things off on their Friday afternoon wedding, the sky parted and severe storms came through! We hadn’t had any rain for weeks and all the sudden it was hailing around Jacksonville.
BUT, I never once heard the couple complain about it. Beautiful weather for their wedding day wasn’t top priority, getting married was. And that they did.
The ceremony was beautiful with all of the friends and family out of their chairs and gathered around them as they took their vows. There were certainly laughs and even a few tears as they looked at each other during the ceremony. Sara jumbled up her part of the vows which made everyone crack up. I love it when that happens. It totally breaks the ice.
After the ceremony the rain stopped (sort of), and we ran outside for their family photos. I don’t know why, but the tones outside right after a rain are just the prettiest to me. So we ran out by a big oak tree which made for a beautiful backdrop for the formal photos.
For the reception, they chose to have a “low country boil” feel for the dinner food. Crab legs, shrimp, Yum!!! It was delicious. =) Instead of having a traditional wedding cake, they chose to have lots of little cupcakes which were also yummy!
Thanks to Sara and Andrew for letting us be a part of their wedding day. And also a big shout out to their wedding party which was so much fun! I always love getting to know all of their friends and fam.
xoxoxo
I had to grab a shot of the rain =)
Check out her sweet bouquet which is fabric and buttons. How cute! Find it on etsy (info below).
I love the dances with the parents. There’s always lots of tears. Very sweet.
How did you two meet?
We first meet when my brother invited me to go out to Fort George on Andrew’s boat. After that we would talk when we saw each other at friend’s house or he would come out to fish with my brother. One night we all went to play cards. The next morning my brother went fishing and I was stuck because I did not have my car. So Andrew and I went to lunch and spent the rest of the day together. Every since then we have been inseparable.
How did he propose?
Andrew took me out to dinner at Outback, which is where we had our first date. When I went to the ladies room he placed the ring in the drink menu. He was pressuring me into getting a drink to relax. As I opened the drink menu I saw the black box. He opened the box and asked me to marry him. We still have the drink menu too!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
color scheme:
We picked navy, white, and ivory because we both love the ocean and the beach.
flowers:
I decided to have felt flowers because the only flowers I wanted in the wedding were for me and the bridesmaids.
cake:
The cake was a simple choice. We both love cupcakes!

We actually have not figured out where we are going on our honeymoon.
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
When Life happens, the only way to enjoy it is jump on in for the ride. Do not let the little things ruin your “I do”.
