STAYCI + CASEY WEDDING DAY
Love Story:
We are what some call a “Power Couple”. A mixture of neurotic (Bride), calculated (Groom), smart (Groom), Go getter/self-starter types (Both- more the Groom), and funny (Both- at least the Bride thinks so….). We had been dating for 6 years.
Knowing in our hearts we were perfect for each other, it just took us a little longer to decide we needed to be married. We had our own reasons for waiting so long, but in the end, we knew God wanted us to declare this union with Him! We had the help of another Godly couple to go through pre-engagement counseling, yes, pre-ENGAGEMENT counseling.
We were led to the facts of marriage and the call to marriage- to be examples of God’s love and commitment to us. In Power Couple fashion, we got to work and started planning a wedding in 30 days!!!!
How did you two meet?
We met at work. Worked together for about 2 years before we started dating.
How did he propose?
We had just moved into our house at the beach. We were still unpacking and getting settled, but he thought it would be a good time to “let everyone know we were all moved in”- by taking a selfie on the pool patio. Sure, no make-up, in moving clothes/ratty gym attire.
He goes to take this selfie and then says “Wait, I need to get something.”. He came back with the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen. I thought it was fake and then realized how serious he was, I said “YES!!” and started crying. Upside, I didn’t have on any mascara to run down my face- LOL. And we started calling/texting the most important people <3
Wedding planning:
30 days to plan and execute- AND GO!!!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color scheme :
Color scheme was easy, bride’s favorite color and something neutral/timeless. Coral/grey.
The flowers:
The flowers we let Mugwump handle- we gave them our colors and they worked their magic- Robert Capers is amazing and he held our hand through all the details, as I (bride) needed a lot of pictures due to my lack of creativity.
The cake:
The cake was again, something simple. Provided by Classic Cakes- they turned our simple/minimalist vision into a reality even better than we imagined. And the flavor selections- OMG! We ended up doing 2 flavors and it was A HIT!
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
The groom handled this detail. In line with our minimalist theme and staying simple, we used Evite invitations and sent out online. No paper to throw away, or lose.
Everything at your fingertips (on your phone or email). We were able to send messages of any wardrobe suggestions (outside wedding in FL, in the heat- people had LOTS of questions/concerns), detail changes, etc. We used a simple template and off we were!
What was the most fun part of wedding planning?
After 6 years of dating, you would think we would know everything about each other. Learning that my soon to be husband loved carrot cake was a fun surprise I never knew. I loved learning how well we work together.
We are both “do-ers” and we demonstrated our abilities to work together through this process of planning and executing on a strict timeline. God let everything fall into place, but we definitely did our share of the foot work.
Which part did you not like as much?
The final payments- LOL. It could have been worse, but still a nice chunk of change $$$
What are the biggest pieces of advice you wish you would have known before the wedding day.
Our entire team held our hands and walked us through it all. We were 100% prepared and we got to enjoy every bit of it. We are so grateful to every one of our vendors and their dedication to helping us create a memorable day filled with laughing, crying (tears of joy), dancing, and sharing fellowship with our loved ones.

In your words, can you give a storyline of your wedding day?
We stayed the night before the wedding apart. I got to stay in the wedding suite (SWANKY), and the groom stayed at our house just down the street. I enjoyed breakfast with my parents, and then a nap and a quick workout, while the groom enjoyed relaxing at home in the pool and making sure his outfit was on point for the day!
My hair/makeup girl Anna came right on time and it all started from there.
The photographers showed up and got to work while I got glammed. My soon to be daughters arrived along with my mom to help me get dressed/ready.
I was ready for our first look and my groom was waiting for me. The most amazing experience was being able to see him before the ceremony and having that special moment with him in private.
I highly encourage the first look!
We parted ways as the guests started to arrive and I dove for the elevator-LOL. As I waited in my suite I had a dance party with my bridal party (me, myself, and I)- again, another highly encouraged choice! Once it was GO TIME, the excitement never stopped. We got to say our vows and proclaim our devotion to each other in front of all the people we love.
We then got to celebrate with them at what is being called the party of the year!! (at least it is on our circle). We had a blast and we didn’t have to think about a thing all day.
Our coordinator handled everything and we got to enjoy the fruits of our 30-day planning. We wouldn’t change a thing! It was the perfect day to pave the way for our perfect new life together.
“ ’…and the two are united into one’, let no one split apart what God has joined together.” Mark 10:8-9
What was the high point of your wedding day that you hope to remember forever?
The reception! The fun we had with our family and friends is priceless. The dancing, the toasts, the foods (drooling), THE DANCING!!!- it was all a perfect mix of the things we love with the people we love. And it was all captured in video clips and photos for us to remember forever <3
