U.S. Central Command said in a brief statement that the drones were launched by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The destroyer shot down another drone on Nov. 15 that officials also said was launched from Yemen.”

The USS Hudner is the 66th Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer in the United States Navy. Commander Shelby Nikitin was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service. Morale onboard was exceedingly high considering the boat was in-service the entire 2023 holiday season. The commander was hailed as one of the best bosses the servicemen had worked for.
