I met Amanda and Ryan as a referral from one of my sweet couples from earlier in the year. From the moment we all sat down to meet, we clicked. They told me the most amazing “how we met” story that I will ALWAYS remember. =)
Let me start out by saying that I think Amanda is a total wedding rock star. She had SO much going on in the few months leading up to her wedding, and STILL pulled off a beautifully amazing event. I honestly don’t know how she did it.
The wedding day began at Riverside Baptist church. I had Vince, one of my fellow photog friends helping me with this wedding b/c April was out of town. Vince arrived at the church and told me that he just had to go and sit in the church to take it all in. If you haven’t ever been there, I recommend it. It’s a one of a kind ceremony location. I met Amanda who was downstairs getting ready with her girls. All of her girls were super fun, and we had such a great time through the day. We got Amanda dressed and went up for photos inside the church and around the grounds. It was a blazing hot day, but again…she rocked it. Never once complained. We tucked the girls back away and took some fun, HOT pics with the guys. These guys were total fun. (which I love of course). My job is always SO interesting from week to week…b/c of the crazies I get to hang out with…and wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Amanda’s dad walked her down the aisle to meet Ryan who was waiting for her. Ryan is not a man to show much emotion, but I do believe you can see some wet eyes in his photos =) They had a beautiful ceremony…very sweet. We zoomed through some really fun pics and headed out to the reception. They chose the outside gardens at Cummer Museum as their reception location. It looked like a storm was going to brew through right before their introduction. But not to fear, it went the other direction. No rain for us!
Everyone had a GREAT time at the reception dancing late into the night. Once the day was over, we stopped over across the river to take a few pics at friendship fountain. (I’m SO glad they were game for that!)
Thank you two for letting me be a part of your special day. Vince and I truly had a great time. Love you two, and I pray a long life of happiness ahead. xoxoxo
Before the Wedding …
How did you two meet? We met through mutual friends out on the boat.
How did he propose? My family was over for the gator game, and he said that he had to go to work. About an hour later fire trucks showed up outside my door, and a couple of firemen walked up to my door asking if I had a fire alarm going off, and when I turned around there he was in his fire uniform on one knee.
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake? I chose pink and black because it’s two of my favorite colors. I chose Publix for my wedding cake because I absolutely love Publix birthday cake, and the best man is a manager of Publix too!
