Renee + Bill Wedding Photos
Renee has been such a joy to get to know of the recent months. She’s done several shoots and has had to swing by many times, and we just sit and talk for hours. Her husband is equally as amazing, and I love these two together. They met on match.com and were immediately connected to each other through their love for sports.
Their wedding day was perfect, and I loved getting to watch these two enjoy every piece of it…even their perfectly choreographed first dance. =)
I love you two and wish you many, many amazing years to come together.

How did you two meet?
We met because of our love of the same team, the NE Patriots! Using Match.com, I posted a headline that said “Looking for a Seminole or Pats fan!”. Bill noticed my headline and “winked” at me through the website. I didn’t even have a picture of myself up yet! When I looked at his profile, what first jumped out at me was the picture of him at the Jaguars stadium, on the sidelines, with TOM BRADY standing right behind him!! I was hooked! 🙂
It took us about a month of talking through email and on the phone before having our first date at Carrabba’s. We haven’t taken our eyes off each other ever since!
How did he propose?
Bill and I love St Augustine, FL! During December we have made it a tradition to go there to look at how the city is all done up in Christmas lights. We had been planning a Saturday evening dinner down there the weekend before Christmas.
I had worked 5:30am to 4:00pm that particular Saturday and was exhausted, but we made plans and we were going! We got down there, spent 30 minutes driving around trying to find a parking space close to the restaurant we wanted to try, A1A Aleworks. With no luck, we parked in the garage and walked.
It was FREEZING that night, one of the first nights it was really cold, so I was rushing to get to the restaurant (not to mention how I was starving!). I was unaware of the real reason that Bill was taking his time and suggesting that we stop and take in the lights. I was just in a hurry and not willing to stop. We get to the restaurant and it’s a 45 min wait.
We sit at the bar to wait and Bill kept getting texts, which I thought was a bit unusual but really didn’t think anything of it. We finally eat and it’s delicious. We took our leftovers to go, and headed back out in the cold to our car. As we are crossing the main drag in St Augustine, FL which is a beautiful grassy area with a gazebo, Bill pulls me aside and suggests that we just sit a minute and look at the lights.
I think I probably looked at him like he was crazy because it had gotten colder, but I said ok. So we park ourselves on a bench and he said we should exchange Christmas gifts. Now I REALLY looked at him like he was crazy and said that I didn’t have a gift for him with me.
His response was “Well you are the best gift that I could ever have” (!!) and pulled out the most beautiful ring, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him! I think I kept saying “no, no, no… really?…no” because I was so shocked and surprised! Oops! I finally realized that I hadn’t said yes yet, and of course, said YES!
One of the best parts of the story is that Bill had contacted my Dad who lives in Sarasota, and met him in Orlando the Thursday before (told me that he had an all day meeting for work) to ask him permission to marry me!
WOW! So EVERYONE knew what was going on and was on eggshells waiting to hear from us! My mom and I were the only ones out of the loop. My best friend had even gone ring shopping with him 2 WEEKS before!
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
I love the color navy and Bill agreed! We wanted bright colors to accent the dark navy so we went with orange, pink and green!
Flowers:
The flowers turned out better than I ever dreamed!

After the Wedding …
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
A Western Caribbean cruise on Carnival; AMAZING! Make sure you get a balcony!
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
Get a videographer so you don’t stress out your photographer =)
Also, make sure you follow up with all your vendors….
Sometimes they are not good about contacting you! (although my florist, DJ, and cake vendors were great about keeping me on schedule); my rehearsal dinner location was great but they didn’t have our menus printed and we had a bridal luncheon in Downtown St Augustine, FL that didn’t have us down for a reservation =)
