Elli + Scott Wedding Photos
Elli and Scott had a gorgeously perfect wedding day. They had a bit of added excitement going on at their venue.

One thing that stands out so much about these two is how laid back they are. There was total chaos going on around them all day, but they never acted moved by it or stressed out. They were married out on the back lawn overlooking the beautiful TPC golf course. Their ceremony was lead by someone close to them, so it was very personal and emotional.
After the ceremony and family formals, the coordinator for TPC took us out on the golf cart for some photos around the property. There was one point where some really crazy bugs literally got INTO the layers of Elli’s dress. Never a dull moment on wedding days…seriously! =)
Once we got into the reception:
The party started and never calmed down the whole night. Carlton with McGee Entertainment kept the crowd up and having a great time. I must say, to start things off the older crowd really had the younger folks beat. They were the first ones up and letting loose. Of course the 20 somethings followed behind, but they had to work hard to keep up with the others!
You can tell from the photos, everyone had a great time. It’s always nice to see my couple genuinely love their day. I shared this on my facebook, but I have to mention it here. At one point in the night I was taking photos of everyone having a blast on the dance floor. My groom was standing behind me with a friend, and I overheard him say, “I can’t believe this is OUR wedding day…I mean, I’ve been to a bunch of weddings, but this is so hard to take it in that it’s OURS this time”. It just made my heart smile to hear a groom love his day.
Elli and Scott, thank you SO much for having me at your wedding. It was such a great time, and I hope you wouldn’t change anything for the world…well I guess it would have been cool had Tebow still been around to take a photo with you guys =) Just kidding, it was really perfect.
xoxoxo

(PS – A huge thank you to Devon who second shot this wedding with me. She totally rocked it of course, and she got some really amazing shots…couldn’t have done the day without her)

She was outstanding throughout the whole planning process.
Photographer: Tonya Beaver Photography
Only the best – Tonya Beaver! 🙂 When we initially started planning our wedding, we decided that a photographer was one of the most important aspects of our wedding day. We could not have chosen better and would highly recommend Tonya to anyone! We had SO many compliments from our family and friends about how easy and quick the photos were the day of the wedding and all of our photos are beautiful!
Cake: Classic Cakes
They helped up pick out the most beautiful wedding cake, and probably the best groom’s cake I’ve ever seen! Since we had a few gluten free guests at our wedding, they also made a small gluten free cake.
Florist: Lynette at Rose of Sharon
I had no idea what kind of flowers I wanted when I went for our initial meeting, but with Lynette’s help we came up with the most beautiful flower arrangements. Lynette was so patient and showed me numerous options before we decided on exactly what I wanted.
Officiant: Rev. Dr. Stephen Reid
I was lucky to have my Uncle preform our ceremony. He married my parents almost 30 years ago so it meant a lot that he could be there for us on our wedding day.
Hair: Rebecca Jenkins at Charisma for Hair in Gainesville
Yes, I dragged her all of the way to Jacksonville to do our hair ☺
Make-up: Katie Ayers at Ponte Vedra Inn and Spa
I actually went to elementary school with Katie so it was great that she was able to do my make up before the wedding.
Entertainment: Carlton at McGee Entertainment
He was so fun to work with and made our reception so much fun! We had a blast dancing all night.
Party Favors: Koozies from Rook Design Company
I found them on Etsy, which was another great wedding planning tool!
Groom and Groomsmen Wear: Mens Wearhouse
How did you two meet?
We actually went to high school together and were even in the same program in college but did not start dating until mutual friends of ours started tailgating for football games. We made our relationship “official” at the end of the season at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
How did he propose?
He took me to the stadium and proposed right outside the entrance. It was very fitting for us. ☺
How did you decide on your color scheme, flowers, and cake?
Color Scheme:
Purple is my favorite color and I saw tons of great ideas that incorporated silver on Pinterest.
Flowers:
Lynette (at Rose of Sharon) was a HUGE help with our flowers.
Cake:
Classic Cakes was also phenomenal in helping us decided on a cake. Since we had a long engagement, I had plenty of time to use Pinterest to gather ideas. When I went to each vendor, I would show them different photos on my wedding board and told them what I liked and didn’t like about each one.
How did you decide on your invitations, and who did you use?
Invitations were something that really snuck up on us. Since we were a little pressed for time and we wanted something fairly simple, I used Wedding Wire to find MyGatsby.com. Our programs were done by Michelle Sasser Designs, who I found on Etsy.
Where did you go for your honeymoon?
Since we already had somewhat of a destination wedding, we are planning a honeymoon in Europe this summer. We won’t be so busy with work then and will be able to take of a couple of weeks to enjoy Italy.
If you could give yourself any advice prior to the wedding, what would it be?
The entire wedding day goes by so quickly so try not to stress about the little things and enjoy the day. I loved having a smaller wedding because I felt like I was able to spend time with each of our guests. Also, if your wedding venue recommends certain vendors, I would highly recommend using them. The whole planning process and wedding day went so smoothly because all of our vendors had worked together before and knew each other. I remember Chris telling us we had “the Dream Team” and I totally agree with her!
